If a parish is really alive with the Spirit of Jesus Christ, it must reflect God’s generous love in its community life. “See how they love one another” was the reputation the early church had among their neighbors. Our own Saint Mary’s parish is trying to be a living example of God’s love in the world. Although we often struggle to live that love, there are many exciting and profound ways that God’s love is already evident. Saint Mary is a tithing community that gives ten percent of every Sunday collection to the poor. We encourage and challenge you to become involved in the ministries, committees or groups that make Saint Mary’s such a vibrant and caring community.
