Saint Mary Cemetery Committee

About

Saint Mary's Cemetery stretches forty acres just off Route 495. The old section of the cemetery dates back to the 1830's. The cemetery is best know for the Irish Round Tower and is the centerpiece of the new section. This committee oversees the preservation and development of the cemetery.  The written records and headstone information of the cemetery have all been computerized by a professional genealogist and provide a superb tool for research.

RULES FOR SAINT MARY’S CEMETERY

All in-ground plantings should be close to the stone (6”-8”). No planting is allowed in any other area.

No new shrub planting is allowed. Current shrubs are tolerated and are NOT to be replaced. They should be no higher than the stone.

NOTHING is allowed on lots except the headstone and Veterans’ markers. Flower pots or vigil lights must be placed next to the stone. The cemetery reserves the right to ask that inappropriate objects be removed and, if necessary, we will remove them.

There are restrictions on the size of headstones, depending on the size of the lot.
