This new committee will coordinate the efforts of the parish for eliciting the support of member's TIME, TALENT and TREASURE. Saint Mary of the Assumption parish has a long history of institutional tithing, giving 10% of our Sunday collection each week to the needy. There is also a rich tradition of offering service and talents to respond to a variety of needs in the parish and community. The Stewardship committee is being asked to coordinate and expand these efforts. We hope to have more of our families formally attempting to tithe in the care of the church and the poor. | |
