Funeral Mass Liturgical Ministries

This is a ministry of adults who volunteer their time to serve at funeral Masses. Some proclaim the readings while others assist as Mass servers and as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion during the liturgy. The servers assist in teams and are scheduled periodically. Their presence expresses our prayerful solidarity with those mourning the death of a loved one.
Servers and Lectors are needed from each of our communities to assist at funerals, from the English speaking, Portuguese and Brazilian communities and the Spanish speaking community.  Since most funerals occur during the morning on weekdays, it is important to be available then, but some funerals are scheduled for a Saturday morning and so people with a work schedule during the week can help on a weekend.
