This ministry is currently on hiatus. We hope to have our kids back singing with us soon.
Did you know that in the Jewish Talmud there is a tradition that singing was the manner in which Adam and Eve communicated with God? It was one of the losses of original sin that we would need to practice and learn to sing when it was thought to be the normal way in which humans communicated with each other and with God.
No wonder then that singing doubles our prayer and brings us closer to God, whether we are the one singing or listening to another beautiful voice. There is a unique and wonderful quality to the gift of children's voices singing to the praise and glory of our God.
We invite the young people of our parish to participate in a Youth Choir. A calendar of rehearsals for this current acadmic year is available to the left of this posting.
Youth in grades 2 through 10 are welcome to be part of this choir. Please be prompt to the rehearsal so that we can make the best use of the time available.
